An environmental & natural light photographer and artist who [when I’m not traveling] lives in the Greater Orlando Area [FL] with my husband and our two GSD fur babies, running Tilted Tripods PhotoGraphix and SimpliPix, writing (mostly educational, children’s books, and spiritual journeys), running a homeschool consulting firm (with my husband), an essential oils business, a genealogy research agency, and serving as an Art Therapy Coach. In my spare time I volunteer with local veterans groups, enjoy walking on the beach, hiking (especially in Alaska), gardening, K-9 training, throwing clay, painting (fav is watercolour), and pencil/charcoal sketching.
While I will occasionally accept commissions, it is landscape, travel, and digital/grunge that holds sway over me. Passionately embracing the challenge of being a visual storyteller and illustrator of places that most people will never be able to visit, so that they might travel vicariously through my art. A night-scape enthusiast seeking the dancing lights, Black & white impassioned and time-lapsed intrigued. Natural light manipulator. Artist of digital imaginations and grunge portraiture. Combined with a 30+yr background in education, physics, geology, and art, AND SO TOTALLY INSPIRED & ENCOURAGED BY MY DAD [since my early years], I am able to convey a vision thru my art, a message to the observer, intriguing their inner voice and giving them pause to consider, for a moment, a memory or a desire they hold deep within.
Being trained in both the pure sciences & fine arts gives me a distinct & creative insight into the technical aspects of the physics of photography & its ability to express my innermost artistic impressions. To reiterate what many others have said over many years and is mutually felt and shared amongst us ... Always the teacher, always the student, learning never ends. There is so much already known, developed, created to be shared with everybody which in turn leads to new creations, new imaginations, new techniques, and new learning.... so that the process never ends. For anyone to state that they have learned everything, and that they know everything, translates into that they, consumed in their ego, really know nothing much at all, and that their imagination and creative capacities have withered & died and they have nothing left to give.
